Melodee takes joy in assembling kits for our students at MFM. When she was ready to go to college, she wanted to be a reading specialist to help teach people with dyslexia. Unexpectedly, her type 1 diabetes took her eye sight. At MFM, she gets the greatest pleasure from making strings with beads, counting out dice, and assembling various manipulatives. As she works, she gets a thrill knowing she is helping students with dyslexia get the help they need in math.
When sheâs not working for MFM, she is out for long walks while soaking up the sun.
