Lauren and Adrianne 225x300 1I’m thrilled to have my good friend Lauren of Higher Scores Test Prep join us on the podcast and explain WHY it’s important to start thinking about college test prep now and not later.  Lauren told me two years ago it was time to start thinking about it and I did what most parents would do…I ignored her.  Fast forward to now and I’ve got a son going into high school!

This information is very timely and I’m excited for you to listen in and learn right along with me.

In this episode, we’ll learn:

  • Why time is your best friend
  • How wishy-washy dreams make for a wishy-washy future
  • Focus on your kid’s journey
  • How your child leads the process
  • How to avoid believing the myth that your child is “a bad test taker”

About our Guest:

Lauren Gaggioli is a Number 2 Pencil Nerd. At least, that’s what her dad nicknamed her in high school because she actually enjoyed taking tests. After graduating from NYU with her BFA with honors in Theater, she rediscovered her love of scantrons and began tutoring the ACT and SAT throughout Southern California.

After 8 years as a private, in-home tutor, Lauren founded Higher Scores Test Prep, an online ACT & SAT prep company. She empowers students by teaching them target-score-specific strategies to help them become bold, confident test takers.

After more than a decade in the industry, Lauren continues to take the ACT & SAT as an adult to keep her skills sharp and enjoys the experience just as much as she did in high school. (Yes, really…)

Lauren is also the host of The College Checklist Podcast, a free podcast about all things college admissions. You can find it on iTunes, Google Play, or your favorite podcast app.
